Anton er flink til å skrive og har sendt en laaaang mail til “farmor” Arja, eier av pappa Blekx-farm Prince Pjotr “Jope” med en skildring av hans unge liv til nå 🙂

Hi.
We are very happy to have Anton in our household. We live in the middle og Kristiansand, south in Norway. He got used to traffic, all kind of people, vehicles , machines and other dogs from day one. He is a happy, curious and sometimes a very stubborn puppy. If he didn’t want to move, then he didn’t move. In our household it’s me, my husband Torstein and a sceptic cat. But there is more contact now, some day they will be best friends. We live in an old house with three floors. The cat lives at third floor and Anton can’t get up there because of the stairs. Some years ago we had two Leonbergers from Liv. Mamilis Jailhouse Rock (Oscar) and Mamilis Man of the world. Oscars father was Pondus: Mr Royal Abalu av Eik-sin-Hus” He is also the great grandfather to Anton. Since Anton is such a perfect leopuppy I presume his dad is also a very nice dog. The combination of Jope and Xante seems very good from my point ow view. Both exterior and the most important his behavior. He has good dog language and plays in the most elegant way with other dogs. We sometimes go to a dogpark. And we will go there more frequently in the future so he continue to be a friendly to every other dog dog.

This summer we went to Alsace (France) for to weeks and one week in Denmark. Anton has always got a lot of attention, but got a lot more in France and Denmark. If you are a dog owner or smoker in Norway you are often not so popular. France and Denmark is much more dog friendly.

Now we attend a course with five other dogs to learn some obedience. I use clicker which works very well. He is also very fond of treats so he is rather easy to learn things. . Our goal is that he will behave rather good and are happy. He is not guarding at all, and that makes it easy to raise him.

He loves fountains and water. It was rather frustrating for him in France as the fountains where so high that he could not get in. When we got back home he had some problems with the stairs. He had grown during the three weeks, and he used a couple of days to adjust his body to the stairs.

In mid september we are going to Italy for four days and Anton will stay with Liv. She is thinking of taking him to a puppy show. That may be interesting for her as when he sees other dogs he often sit down. When you stop in front of other people he often sit down, an if you start running with him then he jumps and suddenly accelarate and as the speed gets really high he make a curve and stops in front of you and you are still running ??I will try to learn him some show behaviour and hope for the best?
